location

Live where others go on vacation: nestled in the typical Lower Rhine landscape lies the small village of Hönnepel, which forms a district of the town of Kalkar.

Here you can enjoy your free time to the fullest, as the surrounding area offers wonderful cycling tours, golfing on one of the three nearby golf courses, swimming, sailing, or fishing in the nearby Wisseler See (approx. 2 km), and all kinds of nature experiences.

Our property is located within the village and borders fields and meadows to the south, which reveal the vastness and distant views of the characterful landscape every day.

The 1,592 m² property is easy to maintain and landscaped in a Mediterranean style. Lying in a deck chair under a palm tree – you no longer have to wait for your vacation to enjoy this luxury. It can become part of your everyday life.

A bakery is within walking distance. Large supermarkets can be found in nearby Kalkar (approx. 3 km). The district town of Kleve is approx. 13 km away. Good motorway connections: both the A 3 towards Oberhausen/Arnheim and the A 57 towards Krefeld/Cologne are within easy reach.

Nestled in the typical Lower Rhine landscape, Kalkar is a town in a central location on the left bank of the Rhine in the district of Kleve in North Rhine-Westphalia, with a high quality of life and leisure activities as well as good infrastructure.

More than any other town in the Lower Rhine region, Kalkar offers a combination of urban development, architecture, art, and culture from the late Middle Ages. Kalkar was founded as a "drawing board town" in 1230 by the Counts of Kleve on the Kalkar Ward, located within the floodplain, and was granted town rights as early as 1242.

The historic town center of Kalkar – with the late Gothic St. Nicolai Church and its world-famous carved altars, the largest preserved Gothic town hall in the Rhineland, the Municipal Museum (city history and contemporary art, temporary exhibitions) and the numerous town houses from the late Gothic, Renaissance, Classicist, and Historicist periods, as well as the large windmill at the Hanselaertor (with brewery) – is a well-known tourist magnet.

By bike, you can reach both the historic market square with its excellent restaurants and small shopping streets, as well as the large retail park.

Your children can also reach the school center (elementary school, middle school, and high school) by bike or bus.
